Happy 5th Anniversary Sweetie

Yesterday, October 10, 2008 was our 5th Anniversary. My sweet husband made dinner reservations and even set up a baby sitter for the night. It was a long day yesterday with a lot of things going on, so by evening I was extremely ready to leave all responsibilities at home and just enjoy time to ourselves. I don't even remember the last time we had dinner alone and were able to focus on our conversation instead of making sure our little guy wasn't making a scene. It was so relaxing. So relaxing that I have a terrible slouch in this picture. Just pretend I have better posture okay.

For our 5th Anniversary, here are 5 things I love about J:

1. I love how positive J is. He is always able to help me see things in a better, uplifting light. I tend to get stressed and worried easily and he is always there to bring me back and help me see a different perspective.

2. I know he is willing to do anything for me. He is always willing to do anything I want to do in order for me to be happy. Even if he doesn't want to do something, he humors me anyway. Every time I hear the Tim McGraw song, "Just to See You Smile, I'd Do Anything", I think of what a wonderful husband I have. I can't tell you how many times he has sacrificed for me over the last 5 years.

3. I love his "Clean" obsession. I have always been a clean freak and to be honest I didn't know he was too, at least to this extent, until after we were married. No complaints, I love it. He has not qualms about doing dishes, dusting, folding laundry, etc. He just pitches in wherever is needed.

4. I love his knowledge of the gospel. Each time I have a gospel question, he can come up with scriptures or references off the top of his head. I love hearing him share his testimony and talk about the gospel because I can feel the Spirit and love seeing the Spirit touch him. So sweet.

5. I love what a good Daddy he is. Lately Jace has been quite the mommas boy and J is doing such a good job working through it. He makes up such cute games, says such funny things to him, and always makes him giggle. I don't think a day goes by where J doesn't look at me and say, "Look how cute he is" or "He is so smart, huh?". It makes my heart melt to watch them together and especially to watch J stare at Jace when he thinks no one is looking.

I love being married to this man, and look forward to each and every day with him.
