Jace has had a rough few weeks. Week one, "Mr. Grumps". We couldn't figure out what was wrong but he was super grumpy. Week two, "Rash". He woke up from a nap covered in a rash. A lady at work told me it looked like Measles. She was kind of right. It was a viral rash that apparently is 'measle-like' by nature. It was apprently the last stage from a virus he had probably been suffering from for about a weeek.....which answered our question about Mr. Grumps. Week three, this week he has been battling a bad cold since last Friday. Monday, I had to go to work and he was terrible. I couldn't get him to lay down and go to sleep. When I took him home, I tried to put him down a while later again and everytime I would lay him down he was cry. I thought maybe he was either over tired or had an ear infection. I left the room and he stopped crying immediately. As I was on hold at the doctors office I peaked in his room and he was sitting up, in the middle of his crib patting on his blanket and looking really drowsy. I tried helping him lay down again but he wasn't having any of that. I walked out again and he stopped crying. I was so confused. After the nurse told me to bring him in because it sounded like he may have an ear infection like I thought, I went in to get him. This is what I found. The poor little guy fell asleep sitting up and fell forward. I felt like the worse mom ever! However I am quite impressed with Jace's ability to fold in half.

So what did the Doctor say? NO EAR INFECTION..... A BAD COLD..... and do you want to know what I ended up taking him into the doctor to tell me?

Little Jace is getting his top 4 teeth at once. Yes, I paid $20.00 for them to tell me my baby is teething. I am still glad I ruled out the ear infection though. They said he didn't want to lay down because of the pressure in his head from his cold. I found two of his teeth coming in last week and knew he was not feeling to good about that but hadn't seen the other two until the doc pointed them out. We've found that keeping him dosed with Motrin and Baby Orajel is making for a happy baby at the moment. Bless his little heart.

Oh, poor little guy! That's absolutely adorable the way he fell asleep! I'm glad he doesn't have an ear infection and the motrin and orajel is making him happy again! It's so sad when these little guys don't feel well. I hope he gets feeling better soon!!
Poor Baby Jace!! Noah had the hardest time when he got his teeth too! He is actually getting his Eye Teeth right now and he has a horrible rash because of it...I can sympathize! Anyway, I hope that he feels better soon! Getting those teeth are not fun at all!
Your are far from being the worse mom ever. Good luck with the teething
