Triplets
I had a slight, very slight, opportunity to see what it would be like to have three babies at once this week. Jace was the popular guy on the block and had two friends come over to play while their mommies took care of some important things. Ashley and Joel are both close to Jace's age so they play pretty well together. Ashley got their first and had her snack cup which instantly made Jace jealous. He kept pointing at her snacks and looking at me as if to let me know he wanted some. Then he started moving her hand away from the opening so he could reach in to get some. At one point he was watching her chew (gnaw) and put his finger in her mouth. It started to bug her because he wasn't stopping so she started to bite him and he still kept doing it. Both Jace and Ashely had their time being bullies to each other but no big problems to work out.

After they played for an hour or so, it was time for all three of their naps. I had this perfect controlled idea of how this was going to go down. All didn't go as planned
I put joel down in the pack 'n play with his bottle and blankies. Before I made it out of the room where he was both of the other babies were following me down the hall whining. I brought them both back to the toys and realized I had a problem. I couldn't put both of them down at once and leaving one of them alone would end up breaking one of their hearts. So a new plan emerged. I put Ashley in the high chair with some new snacks and her sippy and turned on Yo Gabba Gabba. Then I went to put Jace down which went pretty fast and Ashely didn't even know I had left. Once she was finished, I rocked her to sleep and layed her down. Phew! Kudos to all the triplet mothers out there. It was way too fun to watch them all together though. They are just the sweetest little people trying to learn how to figure this life out. I could totally do this again. So Steph and Ashley...anytime you need a break, drop off the babies and enjoy!

Thanks! They look like they had fun, but you deserve something really nice.
