Signing

Over the past few days, Jace has started to do more and more sign language. I am so excited. All the work is paying off. I remember sharing my concerns about him not signing yet with my friend Marci about 6 weeks ago, and she told me to just stick with it and be patient. She was so right. Jace has understood so many more signs than he would do for months now. Yesterday I taught him "Doggy" and "Duck". He also finally did "Milk" yesterday which is the sign he has understood forever. In addition to these he will do "More", sometimes "All Gone", and of course his favorite which is "Eat". Here is a video I got this morning of Jace signing "Dog". He gets so excited when he realizes he knows it that he forgets where to pat. The sign for "Dog" is patting your leg as if you are trying to get the dog to come. If I pat my leg, he will pat his leg but if I just ask him he pats him tummy. Which I think is so cute because his short little arms barely reach his legs so he came up with the next closest thing.
