Daddy's First Trip to the Houston Zoo

Last October my friend and I bought Season Passes to the Houston Zoo. Our babies were about 9 months old and we were so excited to go to the zoo together over the next year. I didn't think it would take almost the entire year before getting J to go with us. Tuesday we all decided to go together. Our first stop was the monkey exhibit. Jace liked the whole zoo experience so much more this time than the previous 5-6 times we've gone this year. Probably because Daddy was there making it fun.
Jace showing us what a monkey does.
We ride the merry-go-round each time we go and usually it is traumatic at least some part of the ride. Not this time. He was intrigued and excited the whole time. It may not look like it in this first picture but that is Jace's "concentrating" face.

Updated Nest picture.
Every time he loves the petting zoo.
At the prairie dog exhibit, he actually peaked through this time standing alone. He's growing so big.

There are two babies at the Houston zoo. They were all so cute to each other and fun to watch. Elephants are by far Jace's favorite.

Relaxing on the way home! We were all tuckered out!
We had such a fun time this trip to the zoo with Daddy. Hopefully the weather will cool a bit soon so we can get a few more trips in before our pass expires.
