SO MANY Nana's Papa's Grandma's and Grandpa's

Jace and I just got back from a summer trip to Utah to visit all of our family. Everyone was dying to see him again so we headed off without J this time who needed to stay and work. This picture was taken at breakfast the day we flew out. Jace loves blueberries (hence the blue face) and is fascinated with my glasses lately. He loves to wear them.
All day we talked about going to the airport to see the airplanes and that we were going to ride on one. The entire drive there he repeatedly said "bair pane" for airplane. In the airport he ran from one window to the next pointing at all the airplanes. Thank goodness for something to keep his attention while we waited to board.

While Jace was staring at all the planes a lady sat next to us. Jace said Hi to her and was very friendly to her. Very unlike my little guy. It was our time to board so off we went to our seats. A few minutes later she showed up in the isle and was sitting right next to us. She was so understanding and helpful the entire flight. Jace sat on her lap and played with her for quite a while. If you remember he did this on our flight last Christmas to our seat neighbor as well.
Saturday, the day after we got there, we headed to the pool with JJ's entire family. We were staying with his mom at her house. He was so cute. We'll have lots more pictures at the pool because J's sister took a ton of our trip for us.
Nana Chris (J's mom) and Jace
Sunday there was a family party at my Dad's house for my cousin who is heading off to Duke on a track scholarship. Jace's cousins could get Jace to do practically anything. He copied everything Isaac, my brother's son, did. I think it is so funny what kids can get other kids to do.
Here Seth (my brother's other son) was able to get Jace to do whatever he said. He would sit when Seth said sit. He would hold where Seth said to hold on to. And he would go anywhere he wanted. Kinda funny.
Monday. Jace and I spent most of the days at my mom's place. This is Nana B.'s and Papa's. He loves this quacking duck.
Jace had such a hard time warming up to all the women in my family. He would go straight to the guys and let them hold him and play with him, but it took time for him to warm up to the ladies.
Papa's old football helmet.
Monday night we spent with my Dad and Anne. Grandpa and Grandma Lowe. We ate yummy Chinese food and watched the Olympics. Jace has a fascination with sticking his fingers up his nose. Here he is doing both at the same time. Lovely!

Playing on the stairs forever with Grandpa Lowe. So many laughs.
He loves to hug anything soft. Here he found a kitty cat and loved him over and over again.
Tuesday we spent with my sister Jessica's kids at my mom's. Jace had breakfast with Kaitlyn. This was a treat for Jace to sit at a little table and he loved it. He wanted to sit at it all day even when he wasn't eating. He was say "Chair" over and over while trying to drag it over to me for help.
THIS WAS THE HIGHLIGHT OF THE VACATION FOR JACE. Playing with Grandma Brown. Grandma Brown is my step dad's mother who lives with them. He warmed right up to her just like he did the lady in the airport. He spent hours in her room coloring, playing with the remote and tv, putting on lotion with grandma, learning to count (she taught him how to count to 10, it still amazes me when he does it.), and eating snacks. He loves her.

All the grand kids love Grandma Brown. She pays such good attention to them individually and they feel it.
Like I said, we stayed with J's mom. His sister and her family live there as well. Jace loved all of Isabel's (J's sister Melissa's cute little girl)toys.
Pool with Nana Chris and Isabel again Tuesday Night. He got chilly so Nana bundled him up so warm.

Each night after bath, Jace would feel the water going down the drain and then when it was all gone, he would sign "All Gone" like he is here.
Then he would slip and slide all around the wet tub giggling and didn't ever want to finally get out.
Wednesday. Both my mom and dad have lots of the toys that we as kids used to play with when we were younger. It was fun to see Jace's imagination blossom as he played with the "house" and the cars with the little people. He would spend a good amount of time putting them in and out of the rooms of the house and driving them around.
More puzzle time with Grandma Brown.
Bath time with Nana Chris. He let her sing Rock-a-bye Baby to him. Just once though.
This night, Isabel help Jace brush his teeth.
Thursday. More tv play time with Grandma.

I could have a hundred pictures like these. Jace was so willing to give kisses to anyone who asked for one. He wouldn't let just anyone touch him but kisses were given very freely.
The night before we left we went up in the mountains with J's family. More pictures to follow. Then Nana Chris gave him a Bubble Bath.
The flight home was a little more rough than the way there. When we got in the car, Jace tried for quite a while to get the shoelace from his shoe he had on in his mouth. J and I laughed so hard as he tried over and over again. He succeeded once!

I am so glad that you were able to come and visit with your family. Although, I am sad that I wasn't able to see you. We were out of town pretty much all week. I love the pictures! Jace is adorable :).
