Another Trip to the Zoo
Yes, we went AGAIN. A few friends from our ward invited Jace and I to join them and we only have a month to take advantage of our Zoo Membership so off we went. Each time we go, Jace loves the Merry-go-round so much more. He likes to pick his animal and then as we ride he pets what he is riding, usually the elephant, and talks about all the other animals around him.
Look how excited he is! He really was I promise.
This was the best. Jace is such a sweetheart. He cares so much about crying babies, worries if someone is hurt, etc. He saw this little goat all alone from across the petting area. He got his brush and walked right over to it. Then he proceeded to bend down right in front of his face and say, "Hi." "Hey." "Hi." It was so sweet of him to be the goats friend.
He loves the elephants, and like usual he stands there are stares at them for quite a while.
We stayed at the zoo this time much longer than we usually do. He was getting tired, but was so very good the entire day. Here he is leaning his face up against the glass staring at a variety of animals. Just resting.
Jace was brave this time and went in the fish tunnel all by himself over and over again. It helped that his friend Avery went to show him the way too. After he did it once, he would follow any one through.
I am not positive what this animal is, but all the kids were staring at it.
The fish were a big hit as usual. Every time we see the aquariums I am tempted to want one at our house because he is so fascinated by them. I wise up and get over it once we leave, I know we wouldn't give it the right care at our house.

Here are the friends we went to the park with. Jace isn't completely comfortable with "friends" standing near him and in his space recently. We are working on socializing at the moment. We are doing better.
After the zoo we went and rode the train for the first time. Jace loved it and was so excited to be sitting on his seat. Half way through a baby started crying a few rows back and his attention was completely focused on if the baby was okay instead of what we were seeing. We loved it though.

how fun. I really need to get moving and take my kids to the zoo more. I just find a reason to "go tomorrow" and then never do it.
